This job is for someone looking to get started on the ground floor of a rapidly growing business. The 3 months before COVID-19 lock down workload was over doubling each month. Due to this, now that our operations have reopened we are in need of a variety of skilled and charismatic employees to fill various roles.

 

Due to the rapid expanse of business this role would suit someone keen to take on new and larger responsibilities as the company grows, which would coincide appropriate pay rises. Pay will start at $22p/h (minimum pay rate for all staff). These pay rates are subject to further increases based on client gratuity and overall skill.

 

Here at Finch's Home & Garden Care we complete work across a large amount of the trades industry including, but not limited to, gardening, landscaping, general repairs, small construction, painting, and low tox deep cleaning (spring cleaning). Full time positions will likely consist of multiple smaller jobs in and around peoples homes, and as such will require you to have excellent people skills as well as the competency and learning ability to complete various different jobs to a high standard. You will need to be a quick learner, and apt at researching on the go when you are unsure of the ideal approach to a particular job.

 

Previous experience experience would be beneficial, even if from an unpaid position (i.e. work done with family/friends). References from clients you have completed small jobs for would be ideal.

You will also be required to pass a criminal background check and initial drug test to my satisfaction due to the nature of the work.

 

A car/motorbike/scooter will be necessary due to the job locations being across the Wellington region. (South of Lower Hutt and Porirua)

Due to the nature of the work there is also a fair amount of flexibility with when, and how much work you take on being open to discussion and change.

 

There are also be openings for casual staff that can be trained up to full time positions, or who want the flexibility of work aiding our full time staff at times they need an extra pair of hands
